- We can't see your scripts, your recordings or anything you say.
Who we are
Scrollglass is a teleprompter app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by an independent developer. In this policy, “we” means the maker of Scrollglass, who is responsible for this app and website: Omar Hassanin, Beyond German (Einzelunternehmen), c/o IP-Management #12753, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. You can reach us at contact@scrollglass.com. See also the Impressum.
What we collect
Nothing. Scrollglass has no servers of its own, and the app doesn't send anything about you or your use of it to us or to anyone else. That's why the app's App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected.
No account
You never create an account or sign in. There is no email address, password or profile for us to store, lose or sell.
Voice follow stays on your device
Voice follow uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to match what you say to your script. Your microphone audio is processed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac and is never sent to us. The first time you use a language, your device may download Apple's speech model for it from Apple.
Camera, microphone and Photos
Scrollglass asks for the camera and microphone only to record your takes and to follow your voice. In sound-only mode it never turns the camera on or asks for it.
Takes are saved to your Photos library. Scrollglass asks only for permission to add photos, so it can never see or read the rest of your library. Sound-only takes are saved as files you can open in the Files app. The app keeps its own copy of a take for 7 days so you can compare takes, then deletes that copy.
Your scripts and iCloud
Your scripts are stored on your device. When iCloud sync is on, they sync between your devices through your own private iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud. That data is stored in your private iCloud database, which we can't access or read. Apple's privacy policy covers how Apple handles iCloud data. You can turn iCloud off for Scrollglass in your device's settings at any time.
Purchases
The free trial and the one-time unlock are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account. Your purchase is confirmed on your device by Apple's StoreKit.
Crash reports
Scrollglass contains no crash-reporting or analytics code. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. Apple controls that choice, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it only to answer you, never for marketing, and we delete it if you ask.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't use that data to identify or follow you.
Children
Scrollglass is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. Your scripts are yours: you can export or delete them in the app at any time. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that conversation.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. We won't start collecting data quietly: any change like that would be explained in the app first.
